Description

Delicious taco nachos loaded with seasoned beef, black beans, salsa, and melted cheese.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 ounce package taco seasoning
  • ¼ cup water
  • 15 ounce can black beans (drained and rinsed)
  • 1 cup chunky tomato salsa
  • 12 ounce package tortilla chips
  • 1 ½ cups shredded Cheddar Jack cheese
  • to taste salsa, guacamole, sour cream, cilantro

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400F.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add the beef and cook, breaking up the meat with a spoon, until browned and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes.
  4. Drain the grease.
  5. Stir in the taco seasoning and water.
  6. Cook, stirring regularly, until the water has evaporated, about 2-3 minutes.
  7. Stir in the black beans and salsa.
  8. Cook, stirring regularly, until heated through, about 2-3 minutes.
  9. Remove from heat.
  10. Add the tortillas in an even layer to a large rimmed baking sheet.
  11. Spoon the ground beef mixture evenly over the tortilla chips.
  12. Sprinkle the cheese over the top.
  13. Bake for about 12-14 minutes, or until the cheese has melted.
  14. Serve topped with your favorite toppings like salsa, guacamole, and sour cream.
