Description

Delicious shrimp rolls made with fresh shrimp, served in toasted buns with a creamy dressing.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound fresh shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill or parsley
  • 4 hot dog buns or split-top rolls
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce (iceberg or romaine)
  • Optional: sliced tomatoes for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a pot of boiling salted water, cook the shrimp for about 2-3 minutes until they turn pink and opaque. Drain and let them cool slightly.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the olive oil, Old Bay seasoning, salt, and pepper. Toss the cooked shrimp in this mixture until well coated.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, lemon juice, and chopped herbs until smooth and combined.
  4. Add the seasoned shrimp to the dressing and gently mix until all shrimp are coated.
  5. While the shrimp mixture sits, lightly toast the hot dog buns or rolls in a skillet until golden brown.
  6. Place shredded lettuce in the bottom of each roll, then generously spoon the shrimp mixture on top.
  7. If desired, add sliced tomatoes on top for extra flavor and color.
  8. Enjoy your shrimp rolls fresh for the best taste.
