Description
Deliciously cooked air fryer steaks topped with a flavorful herb butter.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 steaks (rib-eye, strip steak or T-bone, 1 inch thick)
- kosher salt and pepper to taste
- 2 Tablespoons salted butter (at room temperature)
- 1 teaspoon fresh rosemary (finely chopped)
- 1 clove garlic (minced)
Instructions
- Remove steaks from fridge 20-30 minutes before cooking, to bring them to room temperature. Season steaks on both sides with salt and pepper.
- Make herb butter by combining the butter, rosemary, and garlic in a bowl. Refrigerate until ready to use.
- Preheat air fryer to 400 degrees F.
- Grease the air fryer basket or pan with non-stick cooking spray, and add steaks. Cook steaks one at a time if they fit too closely together. Cook for 4 minutes, then flip, and cook for an additional 3-5 minutes, until desired doneness. Use a meat thermometer for best results: 130-135 degrees F for medium rare, 135-140 for medium.
- Remove steaks to a plate and cover with foil to rest for 5-10 minutes. Add a spoonful of herb butter on top of each warm steak before serving.
Notes
- Resting the steaks helps to retain their juices.
- Adjust the cooking time based on the thickness of your steaks and desired doneness.
